Veterinary and phyto control

If you would like to transport animals or plants you will need to pass veterinary or phyto control.

Animal quarantine desks are situated in the left side of the international air terminal in the baggage claim zone.

Tariffs for transporting pets: The weight of an animal and its container is not included in your free baggage allowance and will be charged as excess baggage. The tariffs for pets transportation depends on total weight. Transportation is paid in excess luggage cash desk.

Guide dogs are carried free of charge and without a cage, if they have a collar, muzzle and if they are tied. Passengers travelling with guide dogs are provided with seats at the end of the cabin.

Transportation rules:

Passenger should inform about pets transportation during a ticket purchase. Passenger allowed to transport only one or two pets. All the questions about particular spices transportation allowance may be refined in the country of destination Consulate. If you travel with an animal (or a bird), you will need to show at the check-in valid documents (certificates) on health of the animal (bird) issued by competent veterinary bodies and, for international flights, other documents required by fly-over and transit countries.

The amount of baggage places for pets' transportation on each air craft is different, that is why you need to specify the transportation conditions.

The carrier is not respond for injures, lost, delay in delivery, illness or death of pets. The carrier is not respond for refuse in import or transport through any country or territory.

If you are planning to take animals with you on your trip, make sure you have all documents concerning their health:

a veterinary passport
a medical certificate ¹ 1. This certificate is given out at any state veterinary clinic. The certificate contains information on inoculations administered to the animal at certain ages. The last anti-rabies inoculation must have been administered no earlier than one year prior and no later than two months before departure.
a certificate from breeding clubs (SKOR, RKF) stating that the animal presents no breeding value. Certificates obtained from any other clubs may result in delays at customs.

If an animal is transported abroad you will need to get a veterinary certificate ¹5a on Russian and English languages.

If an animal imported in RF from abroad you will need to get a veterinary certificate from the exporter-country, instead of which the airport veterinary control service gives a veterinary certificate ¹6.1 on Russian language.

Phytosanitary requirements:

In case of plant transportation we advise you to respond in the Phytosanitary service.

The Phytosanitary service is situated in the building attached to the check-point ¹1.

Import of the under quarantine production in the RF

Import of the under quarantine production in the RF is permitted if a passenger has import quarantine allowance and phytosanitary certificate from the export country.

Export of the under quarantine production from the RF

Exported under quarantine production from the RF should be shaped to the phytosanitary norms.

Export may be effected only with phytosanitary certificates. Quarantine certificates may be executed in plant quarantine office of the " Vladivostok international airport".
