Passengers with limlted abilities

To make the stay most comfortable we developed and use a special handling procedure for passengers with limited abilities. Airport strives to implement the obligations to accommodate the needs of special protocol «satisfaction of needs of people with limited mobility».
The airport has an ambulift to provide getting on/off board the aircraft; passengers’ lifts, which allow transporting people with limited mobility; rest rooms for people with limited abilities.
There is a set of conditions on which sick people, passengers with limited abilities and pregnant women are accepted for transportation (transportation on special sanitary conditions):
- if the health state of the passenger does not threaten the safety of the passenger him/herself or others (which is confirmed by medical documents), does not create disorder and unavoidable inconvenience for the others;
- medical document of the set form, signed by the doctor in charge of the case, stating the possibility of air transportation;
- transportation that requires special conditions must be settled with the carrier in advance (transporting on stretchers, necessity of special medical equipment etc.);
- for pregnant women: the medical document should not be filled in earlier than 7 days before the beginning of transportation and the reckoning must not exceed 35 weeks for the day of transportation, otherwise the transportation is only allowed with the permission of medical service or if the woman is accompanied by a doctor or a member of medical staff;
- transportation of passengers on stretchers normally requires extra charge which is normally 200 per cent of the rate on way (please, specify the rate in advance in the representative office of the airline).
The final decision about the possibility of accepting of a sick person on board (person with limited abilities) for transportation is taken by the representative of the airline.
Airport agents:
- organize provision of a wheel chair (if necessary);
- accompany the passenger;
- assist in going through the passport, customs control and other formalities;
- in case of need call for the medical transport through the doctor of the medical unit to transport the Passenger to the airplane;
- assist when getting on board the plane;
- control the correct draw up of passenger’s baggage.
